Light the Night Kickoff Celebration

The Light The Night Kick Off Celebration is Tuesday, September 16 at Latitude 30!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The annual Light the Night walk will be held on Thursday, November 6th from 5-8 p.m. at the Jacksonville Landing. Light the Night is a fundraiser and walk for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that brings together friends, family and the local community to honor blood cancer survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and raise money for treatments and cures for blood cancer.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. They accomplish this by providing patient support services, funding breakthrough therapies for blood cancer patients, and helping provide personalized assistance to patients. In 1964, the 5-year survival rate for children with ALL was 3%. Today it’s approximately 90%.

The Light the Night Kickoff Celebration will be held at Latitude 30 on Tuesday, September 16 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. There, you can get your team registered and inspired to start fundraising and saving lives! You can RSVP to the event until September 12, 2014 by calling 407-454-5850 or emailing your response to Martha.Mendez@lls.org.

If you can't make it to the kickoff, you can still register and learn more about the walk here!
