Long-term road project on JTB, from Belfort to Hodges, to begin on Monday

Most of the resurfacing, drainage and other work to be done overnight, without daytime lane closures, FDOT said

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Resurfacing is scheduled to begin on J. Turner Butler Boulevard from Belfort Road to Hodges Boulevard on Monday, the Florida Department of Transportation said.

The project includes milling and resurfacing, base work and shoulder treatment and also drainage improvements, highway signage, guardrail installation, bridge construction, and other incidental construction.

No lane closures will occur from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays; and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

Preferred Materials is estimated to complete this $14.2 million project by late 2027, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
