A community is still looking for answers exactly one month after a teenage boy was shot and killed
M.A.D. D.A.D.S. Jacksonville walked around Johnnie Carter's Lakeshore neighborhood on Saturday, asking people if they knew anything about his murder.
The 15-year-old was found dead near the intersection of Sunderland Road and Vista Avenue. He would have turned 16 last month.
"I have talked to his mother on the phone, and she is just devastated, his friends, they're about to start school in a couple of weeks here and they're gonna be starting school without Johnnie," said AJ Jordan of M.A.D. D.A.D.S. Jacksonville
A roadside memorial is set up where Carter's body was found. If you have any information about the case, call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500 or to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a reward up to $3,000, call CrimeStoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
