Man dangling from Nocatee zipline rescued after being stuck for an hour

NOCATEE — A worker at the Nocatee Splash Water Park Zip Line had to be rescued Saturday afternoon after getting stuck about 30 feet from the platform.

Rescuers say his equipment somehow became entangled, leaving him dangling about 40-50 feet above the concrete below.

A Special Operations technician performed what rescuers call a "pick-off" operation and brought the man back to safety.

He was taken to the hospital for routine evaluation but didn't appear to suffer injuries.
