ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Action News Jax has told you about people vandalizing Flock cameras in Northeast Florida.
We came across a person cutting down a Flock camera on Tuesday in St. Johns County.

This was near Durbin Creek and Flora Branch boulevards in Julington Creek.
This happened one day after the Florida Department of Transportation issued a memo revoking all approved permits for Automatic License Plate Reader Cameras (ALPR’s) in the right-of-ways on the state highway system.

The man cutting down the camera told us his name was Alan Johnson and he was a contractor with the county working on behalf of Flock and “NSA.”
We reached out to both the county and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office to find out if the man was authorized to cut down the camera and we are waiting to hear back.
