DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — The young mother who survived a murder-suicide shooting in Oceanway is having her seventh surgery Tuesday, according to a fundraising page set up to help 22-year-old Megan Hiatt.
A family friend said Hiatt is having surgery on her leg.
Hiatt was shot as she was moving out of her home in November. Her father and 5-month-old twin girls were killed in the shooting.
Police said the gunman was the father of Hiatt's twins, Rush Wilson.
