SAD UPDATE: Deputies say missing Nassau County man’s body found

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — UPDATE 7/16/2020 6:20 P.M. - Nassau County Sherrif’s Office said it found the body of the missing Nassau County man.

ORIGINAL STORY 7/16/2020 5:44 P.M. - Nassau County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a missing man in North Hampton from 95134 Hither Hills Way.

Jesse Claude Grooms, 92, has dementia. Grooms was reported missing around 8:35 p.m. Wednesday evening, both K9′s and bloodhounds are on scene.

Last night officers from Narcotics and on-call officers were called in and are en route with a drone as well. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office also sent their helicopter. The search continues Thursday morning.

NSCO has set up a command center at the North Hampton Club House.
