In September 2018, troopers said, Holtkamp was driving northbound on U.S. 17 north of Bruney Road in Yulee, when for some reason he moved into the other lane and collided head-on with another car.
Investigators said the passenger in that car, Justin Cribb, 37, known to many as Kyle, died. His family gave us pictures of the father who leaves behind a 13-year-old boy. Kyle’s mother told Action News Jax his family misses him terribly. The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to troopers, Holtkamp tested positive for drugs, including meth. Action News Jax found out he’s been arrested several times, including driving under the influence, burglary and grand theft.
