National Women’s Health Week 2019 runs from Sunday, May 12 to Saturday, May 18, according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. During this week, there are several ways women can choose to take care of themselves, and to make their health a priority.

The Department recommends that all women should use this time to:
- Visit a doctor or nurse for a well-woman visit (checkup) and preventative screenings
- Learn new ways to eat healthy
- Pay attention to mental health (and learn about depression among women)
- Get enough sleep each night
- Avoid unhealthy behaviors
- Make time to exercise and stay active
