Know anyone interested in being a lifeguard?
The City of Jacksonville is already hiring and training lifeguards for the summer season.
The city said it will hire up to 250 lifeguards to serve at 30 JaxParks pools throughout the city.
Applicants are required to complete three prerequisite skills before advancing to skill tests, which includes a 300-yard swim, two minutes of treading water without using hands, and retrieving a 10-pound brick from the bottom of the diving well.
The cost to apply to be a lifeguard is $35.
