New store, new jobs: St. Johns County Winn-Dixie opens

St. Johns, Fla. — Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of Winn-Dixie, officially opened its newest store in St. Johns County on Wednesday.

The store is located in the Grand Cypress Marketplace on the southwest corner of Race Track Road and Philips Highway, and it’s the company’s first ground-up store built in more than a decade.

The first 500 customers received a mystery gift card worth between $5 and $500.

Winn Dixie plans to celebrate the new store by hosting a series of events, including an appearance by two of the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales on Friday from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Winn-Dixie is offering online shopping and delivery in as little as two hours.

The new Grand Cypress store is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. The new liquor store will be open Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 - 8 p.m.
