No injuries in Saturday night Buckman Bridge crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash around 8:30 p.m. on the Buckman Bridge.

Action News spoke to the people involved in the traffic accident at the scene.

A man was driving northbound on the Buckman Bridge when his maroon colored Nissan broke down. He then pulled off to the shoulder of the bridge.  A passerby saw the car broken down and pulled over to help.  They left together to get supplies to fix the truck.  When they returned, the car had been hit.

The driver who hit the broken down car said the Nissan was hallway into the right lane, and halfway onto the shoulder.

He said he tried to change lanes, but because of traffic, he hit the car and it landed in traffic lanes.

No one was transported, and there were no injuries.
