JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is reminding fans heading to the Jaguars game today to plan ahead for parking and to leave their drones at home.
JSO said officers will be stationed throughout the area on game day to enforce parking rules, saying, “we don’t want to write you a ticket or tow your car, but we will.”
Fans are encouraged to decide on a parking plan before leaving home.
Approved parking is available in lots around the stadium for those with pre-purchased passes, as well as in private lots around the Downtown Sports Complex.
Parking is prohibited in medians, shoulders, right-of-ways, and on bridges. Alternatives to game-day parking include the Gameday Xpress, water taxi service and ride-share options.
Drones will not be permitted in or around the stadium on game day.
The Federal Aviation Administration has established a no-fly zone extending three nautical miles from the stadium, in effect from 12 p.m. Sunday until one hour after the game concludes.
Fans who notice drones in the air near the stadium during the game should not be alarmed — the Sheriff’s Office said those aircraft belong to authorities working to ensure the safety of fans, players and officials.
Anyone who sees suspicious activity Sunday is asked to notify a nearby officer.
