One man dead and one seriously injured in fatal car crash in Clay County,

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Reports form Florida Highway Patrol state that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Carter Spencer Road while another driver was traveling northbound on Carter Spencer Road.

For reasons still unknown to officials, the first driver veered left into the oncoming path of the second car, causing a head-on collision resulting in the death of the first driver.

The car came to final rest in a grass ditch and the second driver, who suffered serious injuries, came to final rest blocking both lanes of travel.
