PONTE VEDRA, Fla. — The Players Championship brings an annual event honoring local military mothers.

For months at a time, military wives live without their husbands, who are are away serving the country.

“There's been a few rough times where I felt like I was just a single mom and nobody was really there for me and you have to do it by yourself,” said Allison Paragon, a military wife and mother.

Paragon is pregnant with her second baby. Her husband has been deployed for months.

With a baby girl on the way, she couldn't be happier that The Player and several sponsors showered nearly 40 future and new mothers with gifts.

“It feels really good to know that there's people there for you no matter what,” Paragon.

The mothers received items such as diapers, strollers and car seats.

Adriana Moore' will be a mother for the first time. More says the nine months have been tough, but the shower was a blessing after this rough patch.

“It's caring, loving -- didn't think that many people would care about the wives and about our husbands being deployed,” Moore said.
