Orange Park man wins $1 million

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — The Florida Lottery announced Tuesday that Orange Park native Brandon Thomas has claimed the $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game.

The 36-year-old winner purchased his winning ticket from the Prime Time Food Store at 188 Arora Blvd in Orange Park.

The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $30 THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 game launched in Feb. 2020 and features 155 top prizes of $1 million to $948 million cash prizes. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 279.

Scratch-off games are a huge part of the Florida Lottery and contributed approximately $1.3 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in the 2020-2021 fiscal year.
