Palatka police: Arrest warrant issued for suspect in shooting death

PALATKA, Fla. — Palatka Police Department Detectives have identified Edarian Price as the suspect in the shooting death of Jermarien T. Edwards in the 700 Block of North 16th Street Friday night.

According to the police, Price is wanted for 1st Degree Murder and an arrest warrant has been obtained for his arrest.

The shooting reportedly occurred on Thursday evening at around 7:17 p.m., and the victim, Jermarien T. Edwards, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with any information regarding the shooting to come forward.

Authorities are urging anyone who sees Price or has information on his location to immediately call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 386-329-0801 or contact Crime Stoppers of North East Florida at 1-888-277-8477.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to Price’s arrest.
