JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Local pastors say Congresswoman Corrine Brown’s ‘Quick Picks’ are dividing the community.
“The reason you're trying to shut me up is because you know they're not going to entertain me, because I don't answer to nobody but God. I don't have to bow down and kiss nobody's golden ring to be on their quick pick,” said Wendell Sams, a candidate for City Council District 7.

Emotions quickly elevated between voters and candidates, just days after Brown passed out her 'Quick Picks.' Brown is endorsing several candidates in races, like the mayor and City Council races, for the upcoming primary election later this month. But her choices have a lot of people upset.
"The fair way for you, Katrina, Congresswoman Corrine Brown, is to pull your papers up and let the voters make an informative decision by themselves," said Sams.
Pastor Kenneth Adkins and several local pastors held a news conference Monday demanding Congresswoman Brown take back her picks.
“We're asking her to please rescind these quick picks, stop doing it,” said Adkins.
“Let's be clear. Corrine Quick Picks is my choice. And I make it quite clear, that these are my choices and you can vote for anybody that you want to,” said Congresswoman Corrine Brown.
