A Jacksonville Beach woman died after she was hit by a Jeep while crossing the road on Thursday.
Angie Zander, 68, was hit by a white Jeep while crossing Mayport Road in Atlantic Beach just before 2 p.m.
She was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, a 24-year-old woman, remained at the scene. Several pieces of clothing could be seen in the road.
FHP told Action News Jax that the woman was not on a crosswalk when she was hit.
Zander's toxicology results are pending.
