Action News Jax has learned the photographer who took a photo of Kathy Griffin holding up President Donald Trump’s severed head is from Jacksonville.
In his biography on his photography page, Tyler Shields says he was born in Jacksonville.
He now lives in Los Angeles.
Shields took the picture of Griffin holding Trump's head. She has apologized for the shoot.
CNN announced Wednesday that Griffin will no longer appear in its New Year's Eve program following outcry about the photo.

Shields said on Wednesday night that he stands by his work.
