Jacksonville police: 72-year-old man found safe

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE, 5/16/19, 3 p.m.: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said 72-year-old Albert Hughes has been located and is safe.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for Albert Hughes, 72, who was last seen Wednesday morning being picked up by a Z-trip driver at 9:15 a.m. in the 3200 block of North Myrtle Avenue.

Hughes has a mental incapacitation, does not communicate well and becomes disoriented and confused, according to JSO.

A witness who saw him being picked up said that whoever picked him up was not the regular driver, and police say Z-Trip has no record of any other driver picking up Hughes.

Hughes is said to be 6 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds. He has brown eyes and gray hair.

He was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt and gray sweatpants.
