Deputies make warrant arrest with protective gear after seeing fake “infected with COVID-19” sign

BARDIN, Fla. — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office made a felony warrant arrest Thursday afternoon when they came across an “infected with COVID-19” sign on the front door of the suspect, according to a Facebook post.

PCSO took to Facebook writing, “Public notice: Placing a fake “Covid-19” sign on your door will not stop us from kicking it in when you have felony warrants for your arrest.”

According to PCSO, deputies and detectives took extra precaution when arresting 28-year-old Joshua Price on Will Tillis Road in Bardin Thursday for felony flee and elude law enforcement and violation of probation warrants.

The investigation revealed to PCSO that he created the fake sign to avoid arrest.

According to PCSO, Price has been booked onto the county jail with no indication that he has been exposed to the COVID-19.
