PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — Action News has exclusive new images of detectives back at the home where a local retired Marine and Little League coach was killed. They spent a lot of time searching the vehicles and a boat outside the home.
We were at the home when detectives arrived and saw them search everywhere, taking pictures of everything inside the home, cars even a boat. They left Tuesday night, but wouldn't say what they were looking for.
Piece by piece, hour after hour, detectives picked through items left inside Joe Wall's truck and the car belonging to his widow Tuesday.
Action News was the only station there when investigators surrounded their San Mateo home again, 48 hours after the father and Little League coach was shot dead inside.
Police are not commenting much about the case and didn't say what they were looking for. So far, they've said only that they're treating Wall's death as if it were a homicide.
"I'm sure they're going to ask me a lot of questions that I don't have the answers for," said assistant coach Grady Wallace.

Not knowing what happened has Wallace unsettled. We met him minutes before that search began on the very field where he coached alongside Wall the past two years.
"He loved the kids. Would do anything for them," Wallace said.
But later this week, Wallace will have to tell those kids that Joe Wall won't be back.
"It's gonna be hard," Wallace said.
Two hours after the search began Tuesday, our cameras were rolling when Wall's friends and family also met with detectives.
They declined to comment on the investigation, but detectives said the search for evidence at the home is complete.
Now, Wallace is left searching for the words to comfort a team that loved and respected this late father.
"Enjoy the game. Enjoy life like he did," Wallace said.
Investigators are waiting on the medical examiner's report before determining if it was a homicide or suicide, and do not believe anyone is in any immediate danger.
Even though we witnessed developments, deputies say they can't release any additional information just yet.
The South Putnam Little League is also considering a memorial in Wall's honor. As soon as more information develops, we will share their plans with you.
