JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This week, inspectors issued multiple restaurants orders to shut down because of health violations.
Sakura Grill in Regency Square mall had 26 violations, seven high priority, including a live rodent running along the cook line in the kitchen. The inspector also saw live roaches and ants. Action News visited the location this week. Employees said they had no manager on site and they had no comment.
Sushi Bistro Seafood Steak in St. Augustine is a restaurant that topped the Restaurant Report just a few months ago. It was temporarily shut down for having live roaches three days in a row and dead roaches on the premises. When Action News called the location, a woman who answered the phone told us the inspection is "not true," then hung up. When we called back, a man answered and told us the owner is out of town until next week.
Joe's New York Pizza and Pasta in Palm Coast was also temporarily closed because inspectors found live roaches behind pizza ovens and on the floor. We called to ask about violations, the person who answered said the owner is out of town.
