The Salvation Army in Jacksonville will open its cold night shelter at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 11, at 900 W. Adams Street.
A hot dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., and guests will be given a warm place to sleep for the night and breakfast in the morning.

The shelter typically opens when temperatures dip below 42 degrees for an extended amount of time.
