JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has announced the second arrest of a police officer in 2021.

Sergeant Tamara Hardin was arrested Tuesday morning on felony charges of offense against computer users and disclosure of confidential criminal justice information.

Hardin allegedly gave information to a person of interest from Georgia who had a warrant out for his arrest.

The 43-year-old has been with JSO for 17 years. Hardin was previously named an Officer of the Month in 2016. She has not resigned from her position, but Undersheriff Pat Ivey says that they will start the termination process as she does have felony charges.

Her bond is set $20,000.

Last week, JSO announced the arrest of Officer Alexander Grant for one count of misdemeanor battery after hitting a person already in custody. An off-duty officer saw the incident and reported it to a Sergeant.
