Local businesses owners say they're trying to get back to normal as quickly as possible after hurricane Matthew.
Singleton's Seafood Shack in Mayport reopened Tuesday at noon.

If you’ve ever been to Singletons, in Mayport, you’ve been through their boat room, which features wooden boats created by the founder Ray Singleton, who has since passed.
Singleton’s son Dean Singleton grew up at the waterfront seafood shack, which has been around since the 60’s.
Tonia Sexton, a general manager who has worked there for a year, and she began to think the worst when Matthew hit.
“Just knew it was gone, knew it was going to be gone,” she said.
Sexton was relieved to go back to work to see those boats were safe, and cooks were able to turn on their fryers Tuesday, cooking shrimp and hush puppies, relieved knowing it could have been worse.
“It’s not a job, you know, you are here with the people that you love,” Sexton said.
