ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Three St. Augustine hotels are getting recognition from Tripadvisor on its 2023 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Hotel Awards.
The awards include categories such as Top Hotels, Small Hotels, B&B/Inns, Luxury and Family-Friendly Hotels.

Here are the hotels in the Nation’s Oldest City that were recognized:
The Cedar House Inn, which is located at 79 Cedar Street, was named the No. 4 B&B/Inn in the U.S.
“Romance and History come alive at this beautifully restored 1893 Victorian Home,” the Tripadvisor listing said. One Tripadvisor user said in their review, “Not only are the grounds and rooms immaculate, the hosts are phenomenal.”
St. Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast, which is located at 279 Saint George Street, is the No. 13 B&B/Inn in the U.S. “Individually decorated rooms and suites grace the inn, many with whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and antiques. The peaceful walled courtyard garden is a favorite place to unwind,” the Tripadvisor listing said.
A Tripadvisor user said, “if you want to stay in a place that makes you feel like you’re part of old St. Augustine, this is the place.”
Marker 8 Hotel & Marina, which is located at 1 Dolphin Drive, is the No. 16 Small Hotel in the U.S. “Through a series of intimate garden spaces, a cantilevered boardwalk, and a new poolscape, the design seeks to activate the waterfront edge and create a relaxing, yet high-end experience for guests,” the Tripadvisor listing for the hotel said.
One Tripadvisor user said, “the property is well kept with friendly staff, and the rooms have a beautiful view of the marina and St. Augustine.”
Tripadvisor said the awards are “based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over the 12-month period between January 1 and December 31, 2022, as well as an additional editorial process.”
