Bridge of Lions closed after getting struck by a vessel, police say

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: The Bridge of Lions is now open, after being closed for one hour.

Original: The St. Augustine Bridge of Lions was closed Friday night after the bridge was struck by a vessel, the St. Augustine Police Department says.

The vessel was unoccupied and no injuries have been reported.

Police say to use an alternative route.
