ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — State troopers are searching for one of Florida’s Most Wanted Fugitives in Northeast Florida. Eric Ritters, 45, is wanted for three counts of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.
In 2002, FHP said Ritters was driving drunk in Orlando with two women in his car. Authorities said he hit another car with a man and two women inside it. That crash pushed the other car into a pole and all three people were killed.

According to the crash report, Ritters had a .236 blood alcohol level, which is about three times the legal limit. He has not been seen since then.
Ritters has been on the run for about 18 years. In the past year, two tips came in possibly spotting him in St. Augustine.
Action News Jax reported the first sighting in April 2019. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said the second tip recently came in through Crime Stoppers. A person reported seeing Ritters at the St. Johns County Public Library main branch in Downtown St. Augustine.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information that could lead to Ritters’ arrest.
