JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The community is coming together to support a 12-year-old girl who needs help getting to and from doctor’s appointments.
QUICK FACTS
- The girl’s mom, Judith Owens, said her 12-year-old daughter is in vegetative state.
- Owens said her daughter’s illness started as flu-like symptoms. The girl went to the emergency room, was on life support, had a stroke and is now unable to see, speak or move.
- Community is raising money to get help for family so they can have a van that’s wheelchair accessible.
