ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A person was hit by a train on U.S. Route 1 near State Road 16 on Saturday evening, according to the St. Augustine Police Department.
Police are currently investigating in the area. They have not disclosed the extent of injuries due to the crash.
All eastbound and westbound lanes on State Road 16 between US-1 and Lewis Speedway are closed due to the crash.
Expect traffic delays at Ponce and SR16 due to Train v Pedestrian. SR16 closed between Ponce and Lewis Speedway.
