Fans should dress accordingly and be mindful of areas where water has accumulated, as well mounding and hills, which might be slippery in the current conditions.

Before play was suspended for what ended up being the rest of the day on Friday at 11:15 a.m., golfers were able to get about four hours of golf in.

Originally on Friday, THE PLAYERS officials said play would not resume until at least 11 a.m. Saturday.

The PGA Tour said players may finish the hole they were on at the time of suspension.

On Thursday, play was halted for four hours due to inclement weather.

Tour officials said they are anticipating winds that could be in the neighborhood of 60 mph on Saturday, and the pace of play will be slower.

However, even with the predicted wind, PGA Tour officials said Saturday will be normal operating procedures in terms of fans being allowed on the course.

Tour officials said they are confident the tournament will be wrapped up Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. at this time.
