St. Augustine man arrested in Washington D.C., Capitol police say

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The United States Capitol Police have released the names of the 14 people their officers arrested in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, where supporters of President Donald Trump broke into the Capitol and disrupted debate.

One of the people arrested was a man from St. Augustine, identified as John Anderson. He has been charged with unlawful entry.

Chief Robert Contee of the Metropolitan Police Department said their officers have arrested 68 people in connection to the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol. Contee said 60 of those arrested are men and eight are women. The police chief said only one of the arrests was of a Washington-area resident.
