St. Johns County announces new early release times

ST JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County School District Superintendent, Tim Forson, announced on Monday, beginning Oct. 14, early dismissal times will be adjusted.

Middle schools will release at 12 p.m., Elementary and K-8 Academies will release at 12:55 p.m., and High Schools will release at 2 p.m.

According to Forson, this is an important opportunity for teachers who teach brick and mortar and distant learning students.

This adjustment will also give custodians more time to clean high traffic areas in each school.
