ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — St. Johns County received an allotment of 3,900 Pfizer vaccines from the State of Florida this week.

Registration will open at 9 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, for vaccination appointments on January 29, February 1, and 3.

County leaders say you can schedule an appointment by visiting https://tinyurl.com/y52tcoaz or by calling the St. Johns County COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at 904-295-3711 (dial all ten digits) after 9 a.m. on Thursday. The form will not be active until registration opens. (NOTE: You will not be able to register for an appointment through the website or hotline prior to 9 a.m.)

It is recommended that you arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment.

The Pfizer vaccine requires the recipient to receive a second dose in 21 days. Those who receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine through St. Johns County will leave with an appointment scheduled for the second dose.

The limited number of COVID-19 vaccines St. Johns County receives from the State of Florida determines appointment availability. More appointments will be opened when St. Johns County receives additional vaccines. Those being vaccinated in St. Johns County include:

  • Healthcare personnel with direct patient contact
  • Long-term care facility residents and staff
  • Persons 65 years of age and older

Publix to roll out vaccines in St. Johns County

In addition to St. Johns County’s vaccine program, 14 Publix pharmacy locations in St. Johns County will start to administer COVID-19 vaccinations, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced during a news conference in Ponte Vedra Beach on Wednesday. More information on how to reserve an appointment time will be available at www.publix.com/covidvaccine.
