ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE · March 19 2021
St. Johns County is now vaccinating Florida residents 50 years of age and older.
Qualifying individuals who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine may preregister for an appointment by visiting https://sjcvaccineappointment.sjcfl.us.
Those who preregister will receive an automated phone call from 904.295.3711 with an assigned appointment date and time.
Individuals who choose to decline the appointment will remain preregistered, and will receive a subsequent phone call with an alternative appointment.
Upon arrival at the vaccination site, appointment holders will be required to provide date of birth, proof of Florida residency, and if under 50 years of age, proof of employment as a healthcare provider with direct patient contact or a Florida Department of Health COVID-19 Determination of Extreme Vulnerability form signed by a physician.
The appointment preregistration system is only for individuals who are receiving their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Please call 904.295.3711 for additional information, or to request assistance with preregistration.
Issued on March 1, 2021, State of Florida Executive Order 21-47 made the COVID-19 vaccine available to K-12 school employees who are 50 years of age and older, sworn law enforcement officers who are 50 years of age and older, and firefighters who are 50 years of age and older.
St. Johns County said they have COVID-19 vaccine appointments available for Feb. 22 and Feb. 24.
Visit https://tinyurl.com/y52tcoaz or call the St. Johns County COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at 904-295-3711 to register.
Health officials recommended that vaccine recipients arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to their appointment.
The Pfizer vaccine requires the recipient to receive a second dose in 21 days. Those who receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine through St. Johns County will leave with an appointment scheduled for the second dose.
The limited number of COVID-19 vaccines St. Johns County receives from the State of Florida determines appointment availability.
More appointments will be opened when St. Johns County receives additional vaccines. For updates regarding St. Johns County’s COVID-19 vaccination program, please visit www.sjcfl.us/coronavirusvaccinations or text SJCVACCINE to 888777.
Those being vaccinated in St. Johns County include:
- Healthcare personnel with direct patient contact
- Long-term care facility residents and staff
- Persons 65 years of age and older
