MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — UPDATE: Clay County Sheriff’s Michelle Cook announced Friday morning that a person who was barricaded in a Middleburg home is now in custody. No other detail were available.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a person barricaded in a home Friday morning in Middleburg. SWAT and crisis negotiators have been on the scene in the Mallard Road area since before midnight, according to a sheriff’s office social media post.
“We are working diligently to resolve this situation peacefully,” the post states. “There is no immediate danger to the public at this time, and we will provide more information as we obtain it.”
