JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is sending out a warning to parents after he said he found an exposed syringe near the Bartram Springs subdivision.
He posted a picture of the needle to a Facebook group and said it’s becoming a prevalent problem.

“Very worried that a child could come across a needle and not know what it is and they could pick it up and harm them,” Brown said.
She said it’s downright dangerous no matter what the needle was used for.
“It’s an open and exposed needle,” Brown said. “It’s very concerning.”
In the Facebook post, the man said there have been several drug related incidents in the area recently.
Action News Jax reached out to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to see if the area had a drug problem and if there are plans to increase patrols as a result. We’re still waiting on a response.
