In the video, you can see dozens of people crowded together. After hearing screams, you hear the person recording the video telling someone who is watching to call police.

We showed the video to Randy Hill, who visits the park often.

“I don’t like it at all,” Hill said.

Maisha Tolbert was hurt in the fight. Tolbert is an elementary school teacher in Duval County. She was supposed to go back to work last week, but family members told Action News Jax she is still in the hospital.

In a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office report, Tolbert told investigators while she was walking from the football field to her car to put some items inside, she was attacked from behind. She was so badly injured that she had to go to the hospital. Her family told Action News Jax she went through two surgeries already and is waiting go through a third one.

“I hope she can recover really quick,” Hill said.

Tolbert’s family said when she finally got to the doctor, she had a broken leg, torn ACL and a damaged meniscus.

“During the course of a youth football game people became upset over the outcome of the game. Which escalated into vicious attacks. While walking to her car with her minor child and being followed by an angry parent. She was speared by a boy that was with the parent. Where she sustained major injuries.” – Maisha Tolbert’s family said in a statement.

Action News Jax called the president of the FLA Vikings, who said what happened did not involve players of either team on the field.

The city said it does not plan to make any changes involving park safety.

It is not yet known when Tolbert may be able to return to the classroom.
