U.S. — Tropical Depression 8 strengthened Thursday afternoon and is now Tropical Storm Hanna.
The latest 11 p.m. advisory says its wind speeds are up to 40 mph.

The First Alert Weather team said Hanna is forecasted to continue to move towards Texas. Tropical Storm Hanna is expected to strengthen.
