Jacksonville, Fl — A deadly crash investigation had all southbound lanes of I-295 blocked at UNF Drive, just before JTB, early this morning around 3:45.
Florida Highway Patrol says a silver sedan crashed into a guardrail in front of the entrance ramp onto I-295 South. The car spun, blocking the on-ramp from Town Center Parkway. The driver got out of the car to stand on the passenger side, when another car going up the ramp crashed into her.
The 28-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the other car, a silver SUV, was transported to Memorial Hospital.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Southbound lanes reopened after being closed for roughly five hours.
