Truck overturns in Baker County crash, killing local teen, troopers say

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol says a local teenager was killed in a single car crash in Baker County Thursday afternoon.

Troopers say a Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 16-year-old girl, was traveling on Bertha Mae Harris Road and "rotated and overturned" on the southbound shoulder.

The truck came to a final rest against a tree, FHP stated.

The driver had minor injuries. The passenger in the car, identified as Jesslyn Barnwell, 15, of Glen St. Mary died of her injuries.
