After visiting Jacksonville early during the COVID-19 pandemic, holding three consecutive empty venue events, and returning again in 2021 and 2022 in front of a packed house at the VyStar Veteran Memorial Arena, UFC president Dana White is ready to bring the big show back again.
In a video appearance on UFC’s Twitter account, White announced that on Jun. 24, a 5-round bout between featherweight fighters Josh Emmett and Ilia Topuria will be showcased as the main event.
“This last fight in Jacksonville is a thank you to the mayor down there, who did a lot of good things for us during COVID,” said White at UFC Kansas City on Saturday, Apr. 21 at a press conference.
