JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — More than 100 people gathered on the courts near the Donner Park Community Center in Atlantic Beach on Saturday to remember 19-year-old Harold Long.
"His life was short lived, but it won't be short lived in vain," said Long's uncle, Tony Curry.
His family and friends took the mic one by one to tell stories of Long, but also to send a message to the community to bring an end to violence.
"Everyone is getting together so we can honor him and make a change in the community," said Curry.
Curry said Long's killer is still on the run.
"We want this guy found, we want him found swift and brought to justice," said Curry.
Friends said even when that happens, they'll continue to hold on to Long's memory.
