JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville drivers looking to cross the Mathews Bridge heading westbound will need to take a detour beginning Friday, Oct. 14.

Westbound lanes of the Mathews Bridge (State Road 10A) will close Friday night at 9 p.m. and reopen Monday, Oct. 17, by 6 a.m.
Work related to the Mathews Bridge repair project will detour traffic to the Hart Bridge via Cesery Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard.
The Mathews Bridge repair project includes bridge truss painting and steel repair. The project is planned to be completed by summer 2023.
