What you should know if you plan to watch fireworks at Jacksonville Landing

FIREWORKS INFO: Where you can watch fireworks across the Jacksonville area 

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office have released things to know ahead of the fourth of July celebration at The Jacksonville Landing. They are listed below:

1. You must be at least 18 to be admitted inside The Jacksonville Landing.

All guests must present a valid ID or military ID to enter. The Landing will have gates set up around the front and side entrances of the property, JSO stated.

2. Children are welcome, but must be with a parent.

A parent must be with the child at all times, police said. One parent may supervise up to five youth.

3. All persons, bags parcels, clothing and other items will be subject to screening/security checks at the entrances and also within The Landing.

The following items are prohibited:

  • Animals
  • backpacks
  • coolers
  • chairs
  • masks
  • fireworks and explosives
  • oversized bags
  • flying objects
  • stroller and infant carriers
  • outside food or drink
  • bottles and cans
  • weapons and firearms
  • personal property or clothing that is a potential hazard to others such as knives, clothing, jewelry, props, etc.

4. The spectacular fireworks display over the downtown riverfront and will begin at 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4.

The fireworks will be launched from a barge on the St. Johns River between the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront and DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront hotels and high above the St. Johns River from the Acosta Bridge.
