A woman has pleaded guilty to kidnapping and killing a local veteran in April.
On Wednesday, Jennifer Shulte pleaded guilty to the murder of 86-year-old Melvin Clark.
Schulte, Douglas Cercy and Ray Jones were all arrested in April for attempted murder, armed robbery and kidnapping.
Police say the trio robbed Clark and then brought him out to the far Westside, slashed his throat and left him on the side of the road. Clark survived the immediate attack and was eventually located and taken to the hospital, but he died from his injuries in July.
Shulte was the only one of the three who later had a murder charge filed against her. Her sentencing date will be set in December.
