On Wednesday morning, the Jacksonville International Airport announced that Economy Lot 1 is currently full and has temporarily closed. To avoid parking issues, you are being asked to catch a ride to the airport instead of driving yourself, as parking lots fill fast.

More than four million Americans are expected to fly out this Thanksgiving, according to AAA.

It appears all flights at Jacksonville International Airport are set to leave on time, but you should always double-check your flights.
JIA is expecting about 11,500 passengers to come through the airport Wednesday – an additional 1,500 more than last year.

Before heading to the airport, give yourself at least two hours to make sure you can get through security and catch your flight.
JIA told Action News Jax there are 400 parking spaces being taken up by construction.
AAA said the best time to avoid the holiday rush is to actually leave the Monday before Thanksgiving.
Tickets are typically a bit cheaper then, too.
