MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — Orange Park Medical Center announced plans to build a freestanding emergency room in Middleburg.
The new $14.4 million facility will have on site imaging, lab services and 11 patient rooms. Orange Park Medical Center says the new ER will be open 24 hours a day and will offer around-the-clock radiology services as well as access to various specialists.
“By bringing this new ER to the Middleburg area, we’ll be able to meet the community’s growing need with the same high level of care that we offer at our main hospital. Essentially, we are bringing Orange Park Medical Center, including our specialty care, closer to patients.” said Dr. Steven Goodfriend, Emergency Room Physician and Emergency Services Medical Director.
This will be Orange Park Medical Center’s third freestanding emergency room with the other two being in Park West ER on 103rd Street and Normandy Park ER on Normandy Boulevard. The new ER will be located at the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and Everett Avenue with ground breaking expected in Spring 2022.
