New York is the latest state to legalize the use of recreational marijuana in the country. According to a report by News 12, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a bill that allows New Yorkers to possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis on Wednesday (March 31). Sales of recreational-use marijuana, however, won’t be legal for about 18 months until the state draws up regulations.
The bill also includes an automatic expungement of previous marijuana convictions that would now be considered legal.
